FIR in opposition to actor Siddharth for ‘offensive’ tweet on Saina Nehwal

Hyderabad: A case has been registered with the Hyderabad Cyber Crimes division in opposition to actor Siddharth for his objectionable feedback in opposition to badminton participant Saina Nehwal.

The grievance has been registered by a lawyer, Zonal Incharge IT, and social media supervisor of BJP Telangana, Neelam Bhargava Ram and Prerna Thiruvaipati, following which a First Info Report (FIR) was filed by the police, in opposition to the actor, on Wednesday.

The actor apologised to Nehwal on Tuesday night time, after receiving heavy criticism for his “impolite joke” on the badminton participant on Twitter.
